CATHOLICISM: THE PIVOTAL PLAYERS will help us discover the figures who shaped the Church and changed the world. We will be kicking off a series of faith formation sessions on Sunday evening, December 11, 6:30 p.m. with future sessions to be held on the 2
nd and 4
th Sundays of January and February. In each of these sessions you will be watching a DVD presentation by Bishop Robert Barron. Nobody has ever fallen asleep during any of Bishop Barron’s presentations. He really knows his stuff, and presents some fairly deep material. Yet he always is very clear. In this series entitled “The Pivotal Players”, Bishop Barron discusses one of the six people he looks upon as leaving an imprint on the work of the Church over the Centuries. In the first session, we will learn all about St. Francis of Assisi and why his message was as important today as it was in the Thirteenth Century. Subsequent sessions will cover St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Catherine of Siena, Blessed John Newman, G.K. Chesterton, and Michelangelo. Please join us in the Family Ministry room in the St. Bernard school building on December 11. There is no fee.
